Directors and Officers Reporting

As a reminder, the Directors and Officers policy is a claims-made policy and as such, claims need to be reported to Chubb as soon as possible. Delays in reporting can cause your claim to either be delayed or potentially denied. To avoid this, make sure individuals at your affiliate office know exactly who is responsible for these matters and who to notify when notice of a potential claim is received. NOTE: A potential claim is more than just a lawsuit being filed; it can be a wide array of activities from direct employee complaints to administrative complaints filed against your affiliate.

Auto and Umbrella Policies

Please remember that your affiliate is required to carry $2 million in liability limits, including any auto coverage your affiliate carries.  For our Umbrella Policy to sit over your auto policy, the auto coverage must be purchased through our program.  If you have purchased auto coverage locally, please be aware that you will also need to buy an umbrella policy locally to reach the required $2 million in auto limits.  If you have any questions, or want a quote for auto insurance through the Habitat for Humanity Affiliate Insurance Program, please contact us at 888-553-9002.
